lately, i've noticed a lot of people using
"jawesome" on something awful. i even saw someone's avatar
with a street shark saying "jawesome".
did everyone
independently start using the word "jawesome", or was it
picked up on the forums? i've been using it since that
retarded street sharks commercial aired over a decade ago, but
i never expected other people to have done the
same.
it's just been bugging me. could that many
people remember one kid saying "jawesome" in a street sharks
commercial?

The first
time I heard it on the SA Forums was a couple of months ago.
There was an MS Paint thread or something and people were
drawing sharks... one of 'em said "Jawesome!"
Tried a
search for it, but it came up negative... might have been too
long ago.
"Jawesome"
became a part of my vocabulary when I was nine or whatever
when I first saw Street Sharks. I wisely stopped saying it,
but I guess I'm not alone in realizing what a great phrase it
is.

My friend
(who doesn't even know about SA, let alone visit it) just
started using the Jawesome thing right before the end of
classes last school year, and has been using it a ton since. I
have no clue where he got it from (he remembers it from the
commercial as well, but he picked it up somewhere online).
Mike was going to
advertise here, but after seeing some of my more obscene posts
involving midget pornography, he decided it would be better
not to!

started using it in the last few weeks a

That's crazy how it spread on SA at this same

I think its just people replacing the
"dick" in reDICulous with a synonym, which would be "donk"
I've always
used it jokingly since the TV commercial for Street Sharks, I
believe there was a cartoon where they also used the term, it
was the equivalent of TMNT's "Cowabunga".

Oh hell yes. That commercial was so
ridiculously laughable to even 10-12 year olds that the
obscenely stupid catchphrase stuck to the pre-pubescent
attention span. It's intuitive comedy, mang.

I remember
Street Sharks. I'm surprised I never really noticed they're
weird catchphrase in my youth. There could be worse ones
though. You could always have a bumch of people spouting "Let
our powers combine" willy nilly.
Here is another one I thought of. I'm the
kind of kid who doesn't really read the assignment and gets
everything all fucked up because he went off on some tangent.
If this one actually made sense, the ironing would be
delicious.
